Our Bi-fold Sliding Door Range

Not every bi-fold door is designed for the same application.

Some projects prioritise ultra-slim sightlines and contemporary aesthetics, while others require a balance between performance, durability and everyday practicality. Understanding the differences between systems is essential when specifying aluminium bi-fold doors for trade projects.

Why Choose Aluminium Bi-Fold Doors?

Bi-fold doors remain one of the most effective ways to create large openings while maintaining strong thermal, security and weather performance.

Unlike traditional French or sliding doors, a bi-fold system allows multiple panels to fold neatly to one or both sides of an opening, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Large Opening Sizes

Modern aluminium systems can accommodate impressive panel sizes and wide openings, making them ideal for:

  • Rear extensions
  • Kitchen-diner renovations
  • Contemporary new builds
  • Luxury residential developments
  • Garden room projects

Slim Sightlines

Aluminium’s inherent strength allows for slimmer frame profiles than many alternative materials, helping maximise glass area and natural light.

Thermal Performance

Today’s thermally broken aluminium systems deliver impressive U-values and help projects meet current Building Regulations without compromising aesthetics.

Security

Our bi-fold doors are available with advanced multi-point locking systems and PAS 24 compliant options, helping deliver peace of mind alongside visual appeal.

Long-Term Durability

Aluminium offers exceptional resistance to twisting, warping and weathering, making it particularly well suited to exposed locations and high-use environments.

Choosing the Right Bi-Fold Door System

Not all bi-fold doors are designed for the same application.

Factors such as opening size, budget, thermal requirements, sightlines and project specification all influence which system will deliver the best result.

That is why Arkay offers multiple aluminium bi-fold solutions rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Why Trade Customers Choose Arkay

For installers, builders and developers, choosing a bi-fold supplier involves much more than selecting a product.

Reliable fabrication, technical support, delivery performance and product consistency often have a greater impact on project success than the system itself.
